Description

Ninja Foodi Grill Chicken Tenders -- Are you in the mood for something different yet delicious!? Have you ever considered making grilled chicken tenders in a Ninja Foodi?

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken tenders, or chicken tenderloins
  • 1 cup milk, or buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika, optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the Ninja Foodi Grill: Preheat the grill by selecting the Grill function and setting the temperature to medium-high. Allow the grill to preheat for a few minutes.
  • Prepare the chicken tenders: Pat the chicken tenders dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture. In a shallow dish, pour milk (enough to cover the chicken tenders) and season it with salt and pepper. Place the chicken tenders in the milk mixture and let them soak for 15-30 minutes. This helps to tenderize the chicken and add moisture.
  • Prepare the breadcrumb coating: In a separate shallow dish, place breadcrumbs. You can use plain breadcrumbs or seasoned breadcrumbs, depending on your preference. You can add seasonings to the breadcrumbs, such as garlic powder, paprika, or dried herbs for extra flavor.
  • Coat the chicken tenders: Remove each chicken tender from the milk mixture, allowing any excess milk to drip off. Dredge the chicken tenders in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure the breadcrumbs adhere well to the chicken.
  • Grill the chicken tenders: Place the coated chicken tenders on the preheated grill grates. Close the grill lid and cook for approximately 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time. The internal temperature of the chicken should reach 165°F (74°C) for safe consumption.
  • Check for doneness: Make a small cut in the thickest part of one tender to ensure the chicken tenders are cooked. They are ready if the juices run clear and the meat is no longer pink. If needed, cook for an additional minute or two.
  • Rest and serve: Once cooked, remove the chicken tenders from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. This helps to retain their juiciness. Serve the chicken tenders hot with your favorite dipping sauces or as part of a delicious meal.
