Ingredients 

  • 2 large Russet potatoes
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil

Copycat Wingstop Fries Seasoning:

  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes. Wash and scrub the Russet potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt or debris. Peel the potatoes if desired, although leaving the skin on can add texture and flavor.
  • Cut the potatoes into thick-cut fries, aiming for a width of about 1/2 inch (1.3 cm). Try to keep the fry shapes consistent for even cooking.
  • Place the cut potatoes in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil or spray with cooking spray. Toss the potatoes to ensure they are evenly coated with the oil.
  • Mix the seasonings in a separate bowl: salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper (optional). Adjust the quantities of each spice to suit your taste preferences. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the potatoes and toss them gently to coat them evenly with the spices.
  • Once the air fryer is preheated, place the seasoned fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer. It's important not to overcrowd the basket to allow for proper air circulation and cooking. You may need to cook the fries in batches if they don't fit in a single layer.
  • Cook the fries in the air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for about 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Shake or toss the fries halfway through the cooking time to ensure they cook evenly.
  • Once the fries are cooked to your desired level of crispiness, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes.
