1teaspoonchili powder , adjustable to taste.
1/2teaspoongarlic powder,
1/2teaspoonsmoked paprika , to taste
Instructions
Start by draining and rinsing the chickpeas. Dry them thoroughly with a kitchen towel or paper towels to remove as much moisture as possible. Removing the skins is optional but can help achieve a crispier texture.
Transfer the dried chickpeas to a mixing bowl. Add the olive oil, salt, pepper, chili powder, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Toss until the chickpeas are evenly coated with the oil and spice mixture.
Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes. This ensures the chickpeas start cooking immediately and evenly.
Spread the seasoned chickpeas in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding to ensure they crisp up nicely. Air fry for about 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time to promote even browning and crispiness.
Once the chickpeas are golden and crispy, carefully remove them from the air fryer and let them cool slightly. They will continue to crisp up as they cool. Serve warm for the best texture or store in an airtight container once completely cooled.
