Description

This started really easy, I had some ripe bananas that needed to be used, and I remember my mom making these when I was a child, so I asked my mom, and she sent me the recipe (source unknown), which happened. I added the cinnamon sugar since my kids really love sugar in the morning!

Ingredients

Banana Donuts:

  • 1 1/4 cups flour (all-purpose)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 bananas, ripe
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt

Cinnamon Sugar Topping:

  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, add the flour, baking soda, salt, and sugar and mix well.
  • Add the room-temperature butter, egg, and vanilla extract, and mix well. Then add in your bananas and Greek yogurt.
  • Mix well, remembering to scrape the sides.
  • Generously spray your donut mold with olive oil spray.
  • Fill the molds about 2/3 the way full.
  • Set in the air fryer. Set temperature to 320 degrees F for 12-14 minutes. (air fryer setting)
  • Let them rest for about 5 minutes, then coat them in melted butter and then the cinnamon/sugar mixture.
  • Plate, serve, and enjoy!

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
