Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees F (175°C). If your air fryer requires preheating, follow the manufacturer's instructions. Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Cut in the cold, cubed butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
In a separate large mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, egg, and vanilla extract.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture. Gently fold until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Gently fold in the fresh blueberries, careful not to burst them.
On a lightly floured surface, shape the dough into a 6-inch circle about 1 inch thick. Cut into 8 equal separate wedges.
Place scones in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
Lightly brush top of dough with a bit more heavy cream. This will help them brown nicely.
Set cook time for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool the scones on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving. This allows them to set and makes them easier to handle.
Drizzle the icing over the top of the scones.
