Description

One of my favorite meals and a childhood favorite is Homemade Italian Air Fryer Sausage Hoagie Sub. Made with air-fried Italian sausage, smothered with gravy (sauce), and topped with pepper-jack cheese. All served up to you in a great big old hoagie roll.

Ingredients 

  • 1 pound Italian sausage, hot or mild
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 4 Hoagie Rolls
  • 8 slices Pepper Jack cheese

Instructions

  • Start by placing the sausages into the air fryer basket for 12 minutes at 360 degrees F, air fryer setting.
  • Cut the hoagie roll in half, and then add about 2-3 tablespoons of sauce on the bottom and top of the roll. Dice the cut sausage into halves, long way, and then in half. Scatter on top of the sauce.
  • Place the slices of cheese on top, and then add the top part of the bun.
  • Set the sandwich into the air fryer basket and then air fry for about 3-5 minutes until the cheese is melted. (air fryer setting)
  • Plat, serve, and enjoy!
