One of my favorite meals and a childhood favorite is Homemade Italian Air Fryer Sausage Hoagie Sub. Made with air-fried Italian sausage, smothered with gravy (sauce), and topped with pepper-jack cheese. All served up to you in a great big old hoagie roll.
Ingredients
1poundItalian sausage, hot or mild
2cupsmarinara sauce
4Hoagie Rolls
8slicesPepper Jack cheese
Instructions
Start by placing the sausages into the air fryer basket for 12 minutes at 360 degrees F, air fryer setting.
Cut the hoagie roll in half, and then add about 2-3 tablespoons of sauce on the bottom and top of the roll. Dice the cut sausage into halves, long way, and then in half. Scatter on top of the sauce.
Place the slices of cheese on top, and then add the top part of the bun.
Set the sandwich into the air fryer basket and then air fry for about 3-5 minutes until the cheese is melted. (air fryer setting)
