Description

Air Fry Whole Chicken to get salty and crispy skin on the outside and juicy, herbaceous meat on the inside. This air fryer rotisserie chicken rivals any store version available — and it's ready in about an hour!

Ingredients

  • 3-5 pound whole chicken

Chicken Rub:

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 teaspoons sea salt
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • Start by cleaning your chicken, remove the package of heart/gizzards, liver, etc. and run water through it until it comes out clean.
  • In a small bowl, mix all of the spices. Then rub the oil on one side of the chicken and the rub mixture. Then set the temperature to 350 degrees F for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, flip, oil the side, and season the side, set for another 30 minutes. Chicken is done when it reaches 165 degrees F.
  • Let cool, slice, plate, and enjoy!

Equipment

  • 1 Air Fryer
