Ingredients
1 1/2poundbaby calves liver
2largeonions, sliced into rings
1teaspoonsalt
1/2teaspoonblack pepper
1teaspoonsmoked paprika
1teaspoongarlic powder
1teaspoononion powder
1teaspoondry mustard
Instructions
Pat 1 1/2 pound baby calves liver dry with paper towels. Season both sides with 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder and 1 teaspoon dry mustard.
Peel and cut 2 large onions into rings. Toss lightly with a bit of salt and pepper.
Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and let it preheat for 3–5 minutes.
Place the liver slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Top with onion rings, spreading evenly over the liver.
Cook at 375°F for 8–12 minutes, flipping the liver halfway through. Onions should be soft and slightly caramelized, and liver cooked through but tender.
Remove liver and onions from the basket and plate immediately. Serve with mashed potatoes, sautéed vegetables, or crusty bread for a classic comfort meal.
