Description

Air Fryer Double Chocolate Scones -- This recipe is a fun and easy way to make delicious, fluffy scones. The air fryer's quick-cooking process makes this dessert perfect for any time of day or season! Some people say that scones are the quintessential British baked good because they are crispy on the outside yet light and fluffy on the inside.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup diced semisweet chocolate

Instructions

  • Add the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt to a large mixing bowl. Then using a Kitchen Aid Mixer or a pastry cutter, cut the butter into the dough.
  • In another bowl, add the egg, whipping cream, and pure vanilla extract, mix well, then fold the wet mixture into the dry mix.  Fold in the chocolate, mix well.
  • Spray your scone pan with cooking spray, then place it into the prepared pan. Set the pan into the air fryer, and set the temperature to 330 degrees F, air fryer setting, for 12 to 15 minutes.
  • Plate, serve, and enjoy!
