Description

Wingstop Copycat Hot Honey Chicken Tenders recipe – crispy, sweet, and spicy chicken tenders you can make at home. Perfect for air fryer or oven cooking.

Ingredients 

  • 2 pounds Chicken tenders ,
  • 3 tablespoons Brown sugar ,
  • 2 tablespoons Honey powder ,
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper ,
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika ,
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder ,
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder ,
  • 1 teaspoon Salt ,
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper ,
  • 1/3 cup Honey ,
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  • Cut 2 pounds Chicken tenders or breasts into strips if needed. Pat dry with paper towels.
  • Toss the chicken in 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper and 1 teaspoon Salt , then dredge in 1/2 cup all-purpose flour or your favorite breading mix for a crispy crust.
  • Fry or air fry:
  • Deep fry: Heat oil to 350°F and fry chicken strips until golden and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Air fry: Spray chicken lightly with oil and air fry at 400°F for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy.
  • In a bowl, mix 1/3 cup Honey , 3 tablespoons Brown sugar , 2 tablespoons Honey powder , 1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika , 1 teaspoon Garlic powder , and 1 teaspoon Onion powder .
  • While chicken is still warm, toss in the hot honey rub until evenly coated and sticky.
  • Serve immediately with ranch or blue cheese dip, and extra honey on the side if you’re feeling wild.
