  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Peel and devein the shrimp if not already done. Pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  • In one bowl, place a small amount of flour.
  • In another bowl, whisk egg whites until slightly frothy.
  • In a third bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs and shredded coconut. Add any desired seasonings such as paprika, garlic powder, or salt.
  • Dredge each shrimp in the flour, shaking off any excess.
  • Dip the floured shrimp into the egg whites, ensuring it is well-coated.
  • Press the shrimp into the panko-coconut mixture, coating evenly.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Arrange the coated shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding to ensure even cooking.
  • Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the shrimp are golden brown and crispy.
