Ingredients 

  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 tablespoon All Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Beef Stock
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic, Minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon Liquid Smoke
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Apple Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Distilled White Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Lime Juice
  • 1 tablespoon Tomato Paste
  • 1 tablespoon Corn Syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon Anchovy Paste

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, mix together butter, all-purpose flour, beef stock, minced garlic, liquid smoke, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, apple butter, soy sauce, distilled white vinegar, lime juice, tomato paste, corn syrup, and anchovy paste.
  • Heat the saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture begins to thicken and come together, about 10-15 minutes.
  • Once thickened, reduce the heat and let the sauce simmer for an additional 5-10 minutes to meld the flavors.
  • Once the sauce has reached your desired consistency, remove it from the heat and let it cool slightly. Serve warm as a delicious accompaniment to your favorite steaks!
