Ingredients
1/2cupwater
1/2cupbrown sugar
1/2teaspooncinnamon
1/4teaspoonvanilla extract
2shotsespresso, or strong coffee
1cupmilk, dairy or non-dairy
Whipped cream, optional
Ground cinnamon, for garnish
Instructions
In a small saucepan, combine water, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the syrup thickens slightly. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
Brew 1-2 shots of espresso or make a strong cup of coffee. Pour into your favorite mug.
Steam the milk using a frother or heat it on the stove or in the microwave. Whisk vigorously for a frothy texture if you don’t have a frother.
Add 2 tablespoons of cinnamon dolce syrup to the brewed espresso or coffee. Stir to combine. Pour the steamed milk into the mug, holding back the foam with a spoon. Top with the foam and stir gently.
