Description

Discover how to make a perfectly smoked brisket on a Ninja Woodfire Grill with this easy-to-follow recipe. Get tips for achieving tender, flavorful brisket every time.

Ingredients

  • 4-5 pounds brisket
  • 1 tablespoon sea salt
  • 1 cup yellow mustard
  • 2 tablespoon paprika
  • 3 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoon McCormick garlic and herb seasoning, or seasoning of choice
  • Water for spritzing, optional

Instructions

  • Begin by preparing the brisket by covering it in the salt. Allow the salt to sit on the brisket for 30 minutes or more. Preferably overnight and covered in the fridge. You can rinse off the salt or leave on.
  • When ready to cook, place a scoop of food-grade wood pellets into the wood pellet burner of your Ninja Woodfire grill. Remember to not use any wood pellets that are not food-grade safe.
  • Turn on the Ninja Woodfire grill to the desired setting. For the brisket the ‘smoke‘ setting is recommended at a temp of 210 degrees fahrenheit at 1-1.5 hours per lb.
  • If using wood pellets, press the Woodfire Flavor Technology button. Next, set the heat to ‘Lo’ heat. Allow the Ninja Woodfire to Preheat.
  • While the Ninja Woodfire is preheating, prepare the Ninja Woodfire brisket.
  • Brush the brisket with the mustard to cover all sides. The mustard acts as a binder to help the spices stay on the brisket.
  • Combine the paprika, garlic powder, and the garlic and herb seasoning.
  • Cover the brisket in the seasoning mix on all sides, pressing the mix into the mustard.
  • Add the brisket to the preheated Ninja Woodfire and close the lid. Allow the brisket to cook for about 1-1.5 hours per lb or until the internal temp is 190 degrees fahrenheit. Note: Once cooked, the spices will work to create a dark bark on the outside of the meat. If prepared correctly, don’t worry this does not mean your meat is burnt and ruined.
  • Allow the brisket to rest for at least ten minutes before slicing.
  • Serve in slices or shredded. Enjoy!
