1cuproot beer, not diet
1cupketchup
2tablespoonsbrown sugar
1tablespoonWorcestershire sauce
1tablespoonyellow mustard
1teaspoonsalt
½teaspoonblack pepper
½teaspoongarlic powder
½teaspoononion powder
¼cupquick cooking oatmeal
12slider buns
Optional sliced cheddar cheese or pickles for serving
Instructions
Place the browned 2 pounds ground beef diced 1 small onion, minced 3 cloves garlic , 1 large green bell pepper, and 1 large red bell pepper into the slow cooker.
In a small bowl, whisk together 1 cup root beer, 1 cup ketchup, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, ¼ cup quick cooking oatmeal, 1 tablespoon yellow mustard, 1 teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, and ½ teaspoon onion powder until smooth.
Pour the sauce over the beef mixture and stir gently to combine. Cover and cook on Low for 4–6 hours or High for 2–3 hours.
Serve the Sloppy Joe mixture on 12 slider buns, topping Optional sliced cheddar cheese or pickles for serving.
