Reheat leftover baked sweet potatoes in the air fryer in under 10 minutes — crispy skin, fluffy center, no foil required.
Ingredients
2medium baked sweet potatoes, cooked and chilled
2teaspoonsolive oil
½teaspoonsea salt
¼teaspoonblack pepper, optional
¼teaspoongarlic powder, optional
Instructions
Dry and oil. Pat the cold sweet potatoes dry with a paper towel. Rub each one all over with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Air fry. Place the sweet potatoes directly in the air fryer basket in a single layer — do not wrap in foil and do not crowd the basket. Air fry at 375°F for 8–10 minutes, flipping once at the halfway point with tongs.
Check the temperature. Insert an instant-read thermometer into the thickest part. The center should read 165°F. Add 2 more minutes if it hasn't reached temperature.
Rest and serve. Let rest 2 minutes, then split lengthwise, fluff the flesh with a fork, and add butter, cinnamon, brown sugar, or your favorite toppings.
