Description

Looking for the easiest way to cook Tilapia this summer, look no further than my Ninja Woodfire Grill Tilapia Recipe.

Ingredients 

  • 8 skinless tilapia filets
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups panko bread crumbs

Instructions

  • Place a scoop of food-grade wood pellets into the wood pellet burner of your Ninja Woodfire grill.
  • Turn on the Ninja Woodfire grill to the ‘Grill’ setting. Press the Woodfire Flavor Technology button. Next, set the heat to ‘Low’ heat. Allow the Ninja Woodfire to Preheat. Be sure to not add food to the Ninja Woodfire until the display says ‘Add Food’, otherwise you risk your filets falling apart due to sticking to a cold grill.
  • While the Ninja Woodfire is preheating, pat each tilapia dry with a paper towel. Press down gently to absorb any extra moisture. You want minimum excess moisture or your breading will not stick correctly to your filet.
  • Crack the two eggs into a medium to large bowl. Beat the eggs for 1-2 minutes.
  • Dip each tilapia filet in the egg and then coat in the breadcrumbs. Press the breadcrumbs into the filet as needed.
  • Allow the tilapia filet to sit for a few minutes before adding to the preheated Ninja Woodfire grill.
  • Grill the tilapia filets for 5 minutes on Low Heat.
  • After 5 minutes, spray the filets with avocado oil. Then, flip the tilapia filets, spray again, and set to Medium Heat for 5 minutes. The tilapia is done when it has reached an internal temperature of at least 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!
