Description

Creamy, frothy, and bursting with citrus, this Ninja Slushi Orange Julius recipe is an easy homemade copycat of the mall classic — made with just orange juice, milk, sugar, and vanilla.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups orange juice, 720 ml orange juice, chilled (or reconstituted orange juice concentrate for bolder flavor)
  • cups whole milk, 360 ml
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar, 50 g
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream, optional, for extra creaminess
  • Whipped cream, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  • Mix the base. In a bowl or pitcher, whisk together the orange juice, milk, sugar, vanilla, and heavy cream (if using) until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  • Fill the vessel. Pour the mixture into the Ninja Slushi vessel, keeping it between the minimum and maximum fill lines.
  • Churn. Close the lid, select the Slushi preset, and press start. Let it churn until it reaches a thick, frosty slush consistency.
  • Serve. Dispense into chilled glasses, top with whipped cream if desired, and enjoy immediately.

Equipment

  • NInja Slushi Machine
  • Mixing Bowl

Notes

  • Use chilled ingredients for the smoothest, fastest slush.
  • Do not omit the sugar entirely — it helps the base freeze to slush.
  • For a stronger, more classic flavor, use orange juice concentrate.
  • Make it dairy-free with oat or almond milk; keep the sugar so it still slushes.
