Description

A grande Starbucks Pink Drink, one tablespoon of instant pudding mix, and fresh strawberries spin into creamy pink ice cream in the Ninja Creami. Includes a from-scratch copycat base if you'd rather skip the drive-thru.

Ingredients

Shortcut Version

  • 14 oz grande Starbucks Pink Drink, no ice (about 1¾ cups)
  • 1 tbsp instant vanilla pudding mix
  • ½ cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 tbsp coconut milk, for respinning

From Scratch Version

  • 1 cup white grape juice
  • ¾ cup coconut milk, carton or canned
  • ¼ cup freeze-dried strawberries, crushed to a powder
  • 1 tbsp instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • ½ cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 tbsp coconut milk, for respinning

For serving

  • Crushed freeze-dried strawberries

Instructions

  • Shortcut: Pour the Pink Drink into an empty Ninja Creami pint, stopping just below the MAX FILL line.
  • From Scratch: Whisk the white grape juice, coconut milk, freeze-dried strawberry powder, and lemon juice together in a measuring cup, then pour into the pint.
  • Whisk the instant vanilla pudding mix into the pint until fully dissolved with no dry specks remaining.
  • Stir in the sliced strawberries, pressing down any that float so the surface sits flat.
  • Seal with the storage lid and freeze on a level shelf for 24 hours. The top must freeze flat.
  • Run the outside of the frozen pint under warm water for 15 seconds to release it. Place in the outer bowl, lock the lid, and spin on ICE CREAM.
  • If the texture is crumbly, make a well in the center, add 1–2 tbsp coconut milk, and RE-SPIN until creamy. Repeat once more if needed.
  • Scoop and top with crushed freeze-dried strawberries. Serve immediately.

Equipment

  • NInja Creami Machine
  • Ninja Creami Pint Container
  • Ninja Creami Pint Container Lid

Notes

Ask for your Pink Drink with no ice — a grande with ice yields far less liquid than you need.
Use the ICE CREAM setting, not SORBET. The coconut milk and pudding mix make this an ice cream base.
Slice the strawberries rather than using them whole. Whole berries float, take up excess volume, and freeze into an uneven surface.
This recipe is not dairy-free due to the pudding mix. For a dairy-free version, use the from-scratch base and substitute 2 tsp cornstarch for the pudding mix.
Deluxe pint owners: use a venti (24 oz) and increase the pudding mix to 1½ tbsp.
