2cupsfresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
1cupgranulated sugar, divided
2cupsheavy cream
1cupwhole milk
1tspvanilla extract
1tbsplemon juice
¼tspsalt
Instructions
Place chopped 2 cups fresh strawberries in a medium bowl and toss with ½ cup sugar. Let them sit for 15–20 minutes to macerate, then lightly mash with a fork for a chunky, juicy texture.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 2 cups heavy cream, 1 cup whole milk, the remaining ½ cup sugar, v1 tsp vanilla extract, l1 tbsp lemon juice, and ¼ tsp salt until the sugar dissolves. Gently fold in the macerated strawberries and their juices.
Pour the strawberry-cream mixture into the Ninja Creami pint container. Cover with the lid and freeze for at least 24 hours for optimal texture.
Remove the frozen pint from the freezer and insert it into the Ninja Creami. Select the “Ice Cream” function and process according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
If desired, use the “Mix-In” function to fold in extra strawberry pieces or chocolate chips. Scoop into bowls or cones and enjoy immediately!
