Instructions
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine tomato paste, water, vinegar, brown sugar, and honey. Stir until smooth.
Add liquid smoke, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, ground celery, paprika, and cayenne (if using). Stir to combine.
Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer. Reduce heat to low and cook for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
If the sauce becomes too thick, add 1–2 tablespoons of water to thin it to your desired consistency.
