Description

Make Ina Garten’s tartar sauce at home with this easy copycat recipe. Creamy, tangy, and full of fresh flavor—perfect for fish, crab cakes, or shrimp.

Ingredients 

  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Capers, drained and chopped
  • 3 tablespoons Pickles , or Cornichons, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Dill, or Parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Kosher Salt , adjust to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper, adjust to taste

Instructions

  • Finely chop the 3 tablespoons Pickles (or cornichons), 2 tablespoons Capers and 2 tablespoons Fresh Dill.
  • In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup Mayonnaise , 1 tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice , 1/4 teaspoon Kosher Salt , and 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • Add the chopped pickles, capers, and herbs. Stir until well combined.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to meld beautifully.
