Description

This Homemade Cinnamon Granola is a crunchy, sweet, and healthy snack made with oats, cinnamon, and honey. Perfect for breakfast, snacking, or as a yogurt topping!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup honey, or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup olive oil, or coconut oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup nuts, such as almonds, walnuts, or pecans, chopped
  • 1/4 cup seeds, optional, such as sunflower or pumpkin seeds
  • 1/4 cup dried fruit, optional, such as raisins or cranberries

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine the oats, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Drizzle honey (or maple syrup) and olive oil over the dry ingredients. Add vanilla extract, and stir until everything is evenly coated.
  • Stir in the chopped nuts and seeds (if using).
  • Spread the granola mixture evenly onto the prepared baking sheet, pressing it down slightly for an even bake.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even crisping. Keep an eye on it toward the end to avoid burning.
  • Once the granola is golden and crispy, remove from the oven and let it cool completely. Once cooled, stir in the dried fruit (if using).

Equipment
