This Homemade Cinnamon Granola is a crunchy, sweet, and healthy snack made with oats, cinnamon, and honey. Perfect for breakfast, snacking, or as a yogurt topping!
Ingredients
3cupsrolled oats
1teaspoonground cinnamon
1/4teaspoonsalt
1/4cuphoney, or maple syrup
1/4cupolive oil, or coconut oil
1/2teaspoonvanilla extract
1/2cupnuts, such as almonds, walnuts, or pecans, chopped
1/4cupseeds, optional, such as sunflower or pumpkin seeds
1/4cupdried fruit, optional, such as raisins or cranberries
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine the oats, cinnamon, and salt.
Drizzle honey (or maple syrup) and olive oil over the dry ingredients. Add vanilla extract, and stir until everything is evenly coated.
Stir in the chopped nuts and seeds (if using).
Spread the granola mixture evenly onto the prepared baking sheet, pressing it down slightly for an even bake.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even crisping. Keep an eye on it toward the end to avoid burning.
Once the granola is golden and crispy, remove from the oven and let it cool completely. Once cooled, stir in the dried fruit (if using).
