6tablespoonsButter
2mediumShallots, finely chopped
4clovesGarlic, minced
2tablespoonsBlack peppercorns, freshly crushed
2cupsBeef stock
2cupsHeavy cream 2 cups
2teaspoonsDijon mustard
1tablespoonWorcestershire sauce
1teaspoonSalt, adjust to taste
Instructions
Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add shallots and cook until soft and lightly golden.
Stir in garlic and cook just until fragrant.
Add crushed black peppercorns and toast for 30 to 60 seconds.
Pour in beef stock and simmer until slightly reduced.
Lower heat and stir in heavy cream until smooth.
Add Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce, mixing well.
Simmer until sauce thickens to desired consistency.
