Ingredients
8slicesbrioche bread, or challah bread
4large eggs
1cupwhole milk
1/2cuporange juice
1tablespoonorange zest
1teaspoonvanilla extract
1/2teaspoonground cinnamon
2tablespoonsbutter, more for skillet
Maple syrup, for serving
Powdered sugar, for topping (optional)
Fresh berries or banana slices, optional
Instructions
In a large bowl, whisk 4 large eggs, 1 cup whole milk, 1/2 cup orange juice, 1 tablespoon orange zest1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon until smooth.
Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt 2 tablespoons butter.
Dip each slice of 8 slices brioche bread into the custard mixture, coating both sides quickly.
Place soaked bread onto hot skillet and cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
Add more butter as needed between batches for even browning.
Serve warm with Maple syrup, Powdered sugar, and Fresh berries or banana slices.
