Ingredients
2tablespoonsmiso paste,
1/4cupsoy sauce
2tablespoonshoney, or maple syrup
1tablespoonrice vinegar
1tablespoonmirin, optional
1teaspoonsesame oil
1clovegarlic, minced
1teaspoonfresh ginger, grated
1teaspooncornstarch, mixed with 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together 2 tablespoons miso paste, 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tablespoons honey, 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, 1 tablespoon mirin, 1 teaspoon sesame oil, 1 clove garlic and 1 teaspoon fresh ginger. Stir until smooth and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
If you like your sauce thicker, mix 1 teaspoon cornstarch with water and slowly whisk it into the pan. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until it reaches your desired consistency.
Use immediately over your favorite protein, or let it cool and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
