Description

Easy Ruth’s Chris Steak House Creamed Spinach—rich, creamy, and cheesy, this copycat recipe brings indulgent steakhouse flavor to your home kitchen.

Ingredients 

  • 2 pounds Fresh spinach, about 8 cups loosely packed
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 4 ounces Cream cheese , ½ block, softened
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/2 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg, freshly grated if possible
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt, adjust to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper, adjust to taste

Instructions

  • Wash and roughly chop 2 pounds Fresh spinach, removing any tough stems.
  • In a large skillet, melt 4 tablespoons Butter over medium heat. Add minced 3 cloves Garlic and finely chopped 1/2 medium Onion sautéing until fragrant and soft.
  • Pour in 1 cup Heavy cream and stir in 4 ounces Cream cheese , cooking until the mixture is smooth and velvety.
  • Add the chopped spinach to the skillet, stirring until wilted and evenly coated in the creamy mixture.
  • Stir in grated 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg, 1/2 teaspoon Salt and 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper. Cook until the spinach is tender and the sauce is thickened.
  • Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy immediately as a rich, cheesy side dish alongside steak or your favorite main course.
