Description

Make First Watch’s Million Dollar Bacon at home with this easy recipe! Sweet, buttery, and perfectly crispy, it’s the ultimate breakfast, brunch, or snack treat.

Ingredients

  • 24 slices Thick-cut bacon, about 1½ pounds
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 8 tablespoons Butter, 1 stick, melted
  • 4 tablespoons Maple syrup, optional
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chili powder, optional
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract, optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • Lay 24 slices Thick-cut bacon in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  • In a small bowl, mix 1 cup Brown sugar, melted 8 tablespoons Butter, 4 tablespoons Maple syrup, 1 teaspoon Black pepper 1/2 teaspoon Chili powder and 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Brush or sprinkle the glaze evenly over each bacon slice, making sure every piece is well-coated.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and caramelized, watching closely near the end to avoid burning.
  • Let the bacon cool slightly on the baking sheet; it will crisp up more as it rests. Serve warm for breakfast, brunch, or as a sweet-savory snack.

Equipment

  • Baking Pan
