Description

Make crispy, spicy wings at home with this Easy Copycat Wingstop Louisiana Rub Recipe. Perfect for air fryer or oven, packed with bold flavor, and customizable for heat.

Ingredients 

  • 2 pounds Chicken wings, drumsticks
  • 2 teaspoons Smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Brown sugar, optional
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil

Instructions

  • Pat 2 pounds Chicken wings or drumsticks dry with paper towels.
  • In a small bowl, combine 2 teaspoons Smoked paprika, g1 teaspoon Garlic powder, o1 teaspoon Onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne pepper 1 teaspoon Salt 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper, and 1 teaspoon Brown sugar (optional).
  • Toss wings in 1 tablespoon Olive oil then rub evenly with the spice mixture.
  • Air fryer method: Cook at 380°F (193°C) for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Oven method: Bake at 400°F (204°C) for 35–40 minutes, flipping halfway for even crispiness.
  • Let wings rest 5 minutes before serving. Pair with Copycat Wingstop Ranch or celery sticks.
