Description

Crispy, tangy, and easy Air Fryer Sweet and Sour Cauliflower recipe. Perfect as a snack, side, or meal, ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup Milk, dairy or non-dairy alternative
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt, or to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper, optional.
  • 1/2 cup Sweet and Sour Sauce

Instructions

  • Trim a medium head of cauliflower and cut it into bite-sized florets. Pat dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture for a crispier finish.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine 11/2 cup All-Purpose Flour, 2 tablespoons Cornstarch 1/2 cup Milk, 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder, 1 teaspoon Onion Powder 1 teaspoon Salt, and 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper. Whisk until smooth.
  • Dip each c3 cups Cauliflower florets into the batter, making sure it’s fully coated. Shake off excess batter.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the coated florets in a single layer in the basket, avoiding overcrowding. Lightly spray with cooking spray. Air fry for 10–12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden and crisp.
  • Transfer the hot cauliflower to a large bowl. Pour 1/2 cup Sweet and Sour Sauce over the cauliflower and toss gently to coat.
  • Serve immediately as a side dish, appetizer, or over rice for a full meal. Optionally, garnish with green onions or sesame seeds for extra flavor and texture.

Equipment

  • Cooking Spray
  • Parchment Paper, optional
