Make soft, homemade flour tortillas quickly in your air fryer! Perfect for tacos, wraps, or burritos with minimal effort and maximum flavor.
Ingredients
2cupsAll-purpose flour
1teaspoonBaking powder
1/2teaspoonSalt
2tablespoonsOil, or melted butter
3/4cupWarm water
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine 2 cups All-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon Baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon Salt. Stir in the 2 tablespoons Oil or melted butter, then gradually add 3/4 cup Warm water. Mix until a soft, pliable dough forms.
Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover the dough with a clean towel and let it rest for 10–15 minutes.
Divide the dough into 6–8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball, then flatten with a rolling pin into thin, round tortillas.
Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (188°C) for a few minutes.
Place a rolled tortilla in the air fryer basket. Cook for 1–2 minutes, then flip and cook for another 1–2 minutes until lightly golden and puffed. Repeat with remaining tortillas.
Stack the cooked tortillas and cover with a clean towel to keep them warm and soft. Serve immediately or store for later use.
