Description

Make soft, homemade flour tortillas quickly in your air fryer! Perfect for tacos, wraps, or burritos with minimal effort and maximum flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Oil, or melted butter
  • 3/4 cup Warm water

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine 2 cups All-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon Baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon Salt. Stir in the 2 tablespoons Oil or melted butter, then gradually add 3/4 cup Warm water. Mix until a soft, pliable dough forms.
  • Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover the dough with a clean towel and let it rest for 10–15 minutes.
  • Divide the dough into 6–8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball, then flatten with a rolling pin into thin, round tortillas.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (188°C) for a few minutes.
  • Place a rolled tortilla in the air fryer basket. Cook for 1–2 minutes, then flip and cook for another 1–2 minutes until lightly golden and puffed. Repeat with remaining tortillas.
  • Stack the cooked tortillas and cover with a clean towel to keep them warm and soft. Serve immediately or store for later use.

Equipment

  • Cooking Spray
  • Parchment Paper, optional
