Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon flour, optional, for thicker sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat.
  • Add minced 2 cloves garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Stir in the 1 tablespoon flour (if using) and cook for another minute to eliminate the raw flour taste.
  • Pour in the 1 cup heavy cream, and stir to combine.
  • Reduce the heat to low, and let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
  • Add the grated 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
  • Remove from heat and serve warm as a dip or drizzle over your favorite dishes.
