Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 3–5 minutes.
Pat the wings completely dry. Toss with olive oil, garlic powder, and salt until evenly coated.
Arrange in a single layer in the basket without crowding. Cook 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway, until deep golden and 165°F internally.
Meanwhile, whisk the melted butter and lemon pepper seasoning together.
Transfer the hot wings to a large bowl, pour the lemon pepper butter over them, and toss to coat.
Finish with fresh lemon zest and serve immediately.
Oven method: Bake at 400°F on a wire rack set in a foil-lined sheet pan for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and 165°F internally.
