Ingredients 

Copycat Thunder From Down Under Brownie Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Copycat Thunder From Down Under Caramel Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Copycat Thunder From Down Under Topping Ingredients: (Optional)

  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 1/4 cup chocolate sauce, store-bought or homemade
  • 1/4 cup whipped cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts, optional
  • Maraschino cherries for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract, and stir until the batter is smooth. Pour into a greased 8x8-inch baking pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow brownies to cool.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add heavy cream and brown sugar, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and becomes smooth, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in vanilla extract and remove from heat.
