Ingredients 

  • 4 tilapia fillets
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs, preferably panko
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 lemon, Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  • Pat the tilapia fillets dry with a paper towel to remove any excess moisture.
  • In a shallow dish, combine the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, and lemon zest.
  • In another shallow dish, whisk the egg until well-beaten.
  • Dip each tilapia fillet into the beaten egg, allowing any excess to drip off, then dredge it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to coat evenly.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the coated fillets and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
