Description

Smoky roasted garlic seasoning made with pantry spices in 5 minutes. Tastes like the Kinder's bottle, only fresher — perfect on steak, chicken, potatoes, and roasted vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup granulated garlic
  • 2 tablespoons roasted garlic powder
  • 3 tablespoons coarse sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon coarse black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon chipotle chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley

Instructions

  • Optional: toast granulated garlic in a dry skillet over medium-low heat 2–3 minutes until pale gold and fragrant. Cool completely.
  • Add all ingredients to a medium bowl and whisk 30 seconds, breaking up any sugar clumps, until the color is even.
  • Transfer to an airtight jar and rest at least 2 hours before using.
  • Store in a cool, dark place up to 6 months.

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk

Notes

Use smoked paprika, not sweet paprika — it creates the woodfired flavor. Reduce salt to 2 tbsp if using as a finishing seasoning. Add mushroom powder for extra umami.
