Ingredients
1 9-inchpie crust , store-bought or homemade
6slicesthick-cut bacon, cooked and chopped
1 ½cupssharp cheddar cheese, freshly shredded
1cupheavy cream
½cupwhole milk
4large eggs
½teaspoonsalt
¼teaspoonblack pepper
⅛teaspoonground nutmeg, optional, but recommended
Instructions
Preheat Oven to 375°F (190°C). Place your pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish. Crimp edges as desired.
Precook Bacon until crispy, then chop. Drain on paper towels.
Layer the Cheese and Bacon into the pie crust evenly.
Whisk Together Eggs, Cream, Milk, and Seasonings in a medium bowl until fully combined.
Pour Egg Mixture over the bacon and cheese in the pie crust.
Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.
