Description

Make your own Copycat A&W BBQ Sauce at home with this sweet, tangy, and smoky recipe that tastes just like the original. Perfect for burgers, ribs, and more!

Ingredients 

  • 1 cup ketchup,
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon hot sauce, optional, or cayenne – If you like a little heat!

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, combine ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and all the spices.
  • Stir the mixture over medium heat until it starts to bubble.
  • Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened slightly.
  • Remove from heat and let cool. Use immediately or store in a sealed container in the fridge.
