Whip up this Copycat Auntie Anne’s Cheese Dip recipe at home! Rich, creamy, and perfect for dipping pretzels, fries, or veggies in minutes.

Ingredients 

  • 2 tablespoons butter ,
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½ teaspoon mustard powder, optional.
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt, to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, melt the 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Stir in the 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour and whisk constantly for about 1 minute until it forms a paste.
  • Slowly pour in the 1 cup whole milk while whisking to prevent lumps. Cook for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Lower the heat and stir in the 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese, ¼ teaspoon garlic powder , and ½ teaspoon mustard powder. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  • Taste and season with ½ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon black pepper Serve immediately with warm pretzels, breadsticks, or your favorite snacks!
