1 1/2poundsboneless skinless chicken tenders
1cupbuttermilk, for soaking
Flour Mixture:
1cupall-purpose flour
1/2cupcornstarch
1teaspoonsalt
1/2teaspoonpaprika
1/2teaspoongarlic powder
1/2teaspoononion powder
1/4teaspoonblack pepper
1/4teaspooncayenne pepper, optional, for heat
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, mix together the 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup cornstarch, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon paprika, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper.
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil.
After soaking the 1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken tenders in 1 cup buttermilk, dredge each piece in the seasoned flour-cornstarch mixture, pressing to coat well.
Arrange tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Spray the tops with oil spray to help crisp them up.
Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through and spraying again with oil if needed. Cook until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
