Description

Enjoy crispy, juicy Copycat Applebee’s Chicken Tenders made at home with simple ingredients and perfect seasoning. Great for family meals, game day, or snacks!

Ingredients 

  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken tenders
  • 1 cup buttermilk, for soaking

Flour Mixture:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, optional, for heat

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, mix together the 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup cornstarch, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon paprika, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil.
  • After soaking the 1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken tenders in 1 cup buttermilk, dredge each piece in the seasoned flour-cornstarch mixture, pressing to coat well.
  • Arrange tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Spray the tops with oil spray to help crisp them up.
  • Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through and spraying again with oil if needed. Cook until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
