Description

tomatoes, jalapeños, onions, and a perfect blend of spices, it’s packed with flavor and can be customized to suit your heat preference. This easy recipe is perfect for dipping, topping tacos, or adding a flavorful kick to any meal!

Ingredients

  • 15 ounces diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 15 ounces whole tomatoes, peeled
  • 1/2 cup jalapenos, diced
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar

Instructions

  • Begin by draining the diced tomatoes with green chilies. Peel and chop the whole tomatoes into chunks, then dice the jalapeños and onion, setting them aside.
  • In a blender or food processor, combine the diced tomatoes with green chilies, whole tomatoes, jalapeños, onion, garlic salt, salt, ground cumin, and granulated sugar.
  • Pulse the ingredients to your preferred consistency—shorter blending for chunkier salsa, longer for a smoother texture.
  • Taste the salsa and adjust the seasoning as needed, adding more salt, cumin, or sugar to balance the flavor.
  • Let the salsa chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to enhance the flavors. Serve with chips, tacos, or nachos and enjoy!

Equipment

  • Large Bowl
  • Food Processor, or Blender
