These easy air fryer roasted figs are sweet, jammy, and caramelized in just 8 minutes with 3 simple ingredients — the perfect healthy snack, dessert topping, or appetizer.
Ingredients
8fresh figs, Black Mission, Brown Turkey, or Kadota
2tablespoonshoney, divided
¼teaspoonground cinnamon
1/8teaspoonsea salt, optional, for serving
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 3–5 minutes.
Rinse the figs and pat dry. Trim the stems and slice each fig in half lengthwise.
In a small bowl, stir together 1 tablespoon of the honey and the ground cinnamon. Brush the mixture over the cut sides of the fig halves.
Arrange the figs cut-side up in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each piece. Air fry for 6–8 minutes, until tender and caramelized on top. Start checking at 5 minutes, as cook time varies with fig size and air fryer model.
Let the figs rest for 2–3 minutes, then drizzle with the remaining 1 tablespoon of honey. Finish with a pinch of flaky salt, if using, and serve warm.
Oven method: Roast the honey-brushed fig halves cut-side up on a lined baking sheet at 400 degrees F for 10–15 minutes.
Dried figs: Soak overnight in hot water, cut a small slit in each, and reduce the cook time to about 4 minutes.
Storage: Refrigerate cooled figs in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 325 degrees F for 2–3 minutes. Freezing is not recommended.
