Description

This Air Fryer Mushroom Toast is an easy, savory recipe featuring crispy bread topped with garlicky mushrooms and herbs—perfect for a quick breakfast, brunch, or snack.

Ingredients 

  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms, cremini, white, or mixed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme, or chopped parsley, optional
  • 2 slices thick-cut bread, sourdough or multigrain

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, toss the sliced mushrooms with olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and herbs if using.
  • Preheat air fryer to 375°F. Add mushrooms to the basket in a single layer. Cook for 7–10 minutes, shaking halfway, until tender and golden.
  • While the mushrooms cook, brush bread slices with a little olive oil. Air fry at 375°F for 3–5 minutes until golden and crispy.
  • Spoon cooked mushrooms over the toasted bread. Add cheese, herbs, or a poached egg if desired.
  • Enjoy immediately for a warm, savory bite perfect any time of day!
