Ingredients
14ouncesshortcrust pastry, pre-made
2cupsmincemeat filling
1largeegg, for egg wash
1/4cupPowdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
Roll out the shortcrust pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut out circles using a cookie cutter or a glass (about 3-4 inches in diameter).
Place half of the pastry circles on a lined air fryer basket. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of mincemeat filling onto each circle.
Top each filled circle with another pastry circle and press the edges with a fork to seal. Make a small slit on the top of each pie for steam to escape.
Beat the egg and brush it over the tops of the pies for a golden finish.
Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C). Arrange the pies in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for about 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar. Serve warm and enjoy!
