Ingredients 

  • 2 pre-made pie crusts
  • 1/4 cup jam , or fruit preserves
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/8 cup Powdered sugar, optional, for glaze
  • 1/8 cup holiday theme sprinkles

Instructions

  • Lay out the pre-made pie crusts on a clean surface.
  • Roll out the chilled pie crusts slightly, then cut them into equal-sized rectangles.
  • Place one pie crust rectangle on a parchment paper-lined tray. Spoon 1-2 teaspoons of jam or fruit preserves onto the center, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Place another pie crust rectangle on top of the one with the filling. Press the edges together firmly to seal the Pop-Tart. Crimp the edges with a fork for a decorative touch and a secure seal.
  • In a small bowl, beat the egg to create an egg wash. Brush the top of each Pop-Tart with the egg wash for a golden finish.
  • Sprinkle holiday-themed sprinkles generously on top of the egg-washed Pop-Tarts, creating colorful and whimsical designs.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for a few minutes.
  • Place the prepared Pop-Tarts in the air fryer basket, ensuring some space between them. Cook at 350°F (175°C) for approximately 6-8 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Monitor closely, as cooking times may vary.
  • If desired, mix powdered sugar with a small amount of water to create a simple glaze. Drizzle the glaze over the baked Pop-Tarts for added sweetness and decoration.
