Air Fryer Grilled Shrimp Skewers are a great and fun summer meal without even turning on the grill.
Ingredients
1poundshrimp, (peeled and deveined, tail-on or tail-off, based on your preference). Fresh or frozen and thawed shrimp can be used.
2tablespoonsolive oil
2clovesgarlic, minced
1lemon, juiced
1teaspoonpaprika
1teaspoondried oregano
1teaspoondried thyme
1teaspoonkosher salt
1/2teaspoonblack pepper
Optional Garnishes: Freshly chopped parsley, lemon wedges, or a drizzle of melted butter can be used for serving.
Instructions
If you're using wooden skewers, begin by soaking them in water for at least 20-30 minutes. This will prevent them from burning in the air fryer.
In a large bowl, add the shrimp, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Toss everything together until the shrimp are well coated in the seasoning.
Thread about 4-6 shrimp onto each skewer (depending on the size of your shrimp and the length of your skewers).
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
Arrange the shrimp skewers in a single layer in your air fryer basket. Be careful not to overcrowd them; depending on the size of your air fryer, you might need to cook the shrimp skewers in batches.
Cook the shrimp skewers at 400°F (200°C) for 5-7 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.
Carefully remove the shrimp skewers from the air fryer (they'll be hot!)
Serve the shrimp skewers hot with your choice of garnishes, such as freshly chopped parsley, additional lemon wedges, or a drizzle of melted butter.
Wooden Skewers, If you're using wooden skewers, make sure to soak them in water for at least 20 minutes before use to prevent them from burning in the air fryer.
