Ingredients 

  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 6 slices bacon, diced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tesapoon chili flakes, or red pepper flakes, to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for a few minutes.
  • Trim the ends of the fresh green beans and rinse them thoroughly under cold water. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towel.
  • Cut the bacon slices into small pieces using kitchen shears or a knife.
  • In a mixing bowl, toss the green beans with the bacon pieces. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Toss until the green beans and bacon are evenly coated with the seasonings.
  • Place the seasoned green beans and bacon in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not overcrowded.
  • Air fry the green beans and bacon at 380°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking.
  • Once the green beans are crisp-tender and the bacon is crispy, remove them from the air fryer. Serve immediately as a delicious side dish or appetizer.
  • For extra flavor, sprinkle the cooked green beans and bacon with grated Parmesan cheese, red pepper chili flakes, or a squeeze of fresh lemon juice before serving.
