Description

Dehydrating parsley in the air fryer is a quick and efficient way to preserve its fresh flavor for later use. With just a few simple steps, you can have perfectly dried parsley ready for storage, ideal for adding to soups, sauces, or any dish that calls for fresh herbs. This method is easy, saves space, and retains the nutrients and aroma of parsley.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt, optional

Instructions

  • Wash the fresh parsley thoroughly to remove any dirt, then pat it dry with a paper towel. Remove the leaves from the stems.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 95°F (35°C) for about 3-5 minutes. If your air fryer doesn’t have a preheat function, simply set it to the lowest temperature.
  • Place the parsley leaves in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You can lightly spray the basket with cooking spray if desired, but it’s not necessary.
  • Cook the parsley at 95°F (35°C) for about 10-15 minutes. Check the parsley every 5 minutes and shake the basket gently to ensure even drying.
  • The parsley should be completely dry and crispy. If it’s still soft or damp, continue dehydrating in 2-minute increments until fully dry.
  • Let the dehydrated parsley cool before transferring it to an airtight container. Store in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months.

Equipment

  • Cooking Spray
  • Parchment Paper, optional
