Flaky air fryer salmon in a sweet-and-tangy honey pepper sauce — an easy 20-minute copycat of Applebee's restaurant favorite.
Ingredients
Salmon
4salmon fillets, about 6 oz each
1tablespoonolive oil
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Honey Pepper Sauce
3/4cuphoney
1/3cupsoy sauce
1/4cupbrown sugar
1/4cuppineapple juice
2tablespoonslemon juice
2tablespoonswhite vinegar
2teaspoonsolive oil
1teaspoonground black pepper
1/2teaspooncayenne pepper
1/2teaspoonpaprika
1/4teaspoongarlic powder
Instructions
In a small saucepan, whisk together all the sauce ingredients. Simmer over medium-low heat for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring often, until thickened and syrupy. Remove from heat.
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 5 minutes and lightly oil the basket.
Pat the salmon dry, rub with olive oil, and season both sides with salt and pepper.
Air fry the salmon at 400°F for 8 to 10 minutes, until it flakes easily and reaches 145°F internally.
Spoon the warm honey pepper sauce over the fillets and serve immediately.
