Description

These Air Fryer Chili Lime Chicken Thighs are juicy, tender, and packed with bold, zesty flavor. The air fryer gives the skin a perfect golden crisp, making it a quick, easy, and family-friendly dinner option. Perfect for weeknight meals or meal prep!

Ingredients 

  • 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs, fresh or thawed
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, optional for heat
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  • Pat dry the 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs with paper towels to ensure crispy skin.
  • In a bowl, combine o2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, 1 tablespoon chili powder, 1 teaspoon paprika, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon ground cumin, 1 teaspoon fine sea salt, 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice 1 teaspoon lime zest, and 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (if using).
  • Rub the marinade all over the chicken, making sure to get under the skin for maximum flavor.
  • Set your air fryer temperature to 400°F (200°C) and preheat for 5 minutes.
  • Place chicken skin-side down in the air fryer basket. Cook for 12 minutes, flip, then cook 10–12 minutes more until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is golden and crispy.
  • Let chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Sprinkle with chopped 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro and serve with lime wedges.
